About the Geraldine Clinic
Geraldine’s Full-Service Vet Clinic – Farm Animals and Companion Animal Care
Aorangi Vets Geraldine is located in the centre of town and is our largest clinic – a full-service veterinary practice serving both companion animal and farm animal clients across Geraldine, the Mackenzie Country, and surrounding South Canterbury districts. With convenient parking and easy access, we’re set up to support the busy rhythm of local farming life as well as the everyday pet health needs of the community.
Our Geraldine team combines genuine local knowledge with a high standard of veterinary care – and a lot of us have been here long enough to know our clients and their animals well.

Our companion animal clinic in Geraldine is well-equipped and staffed by a caring, knowledgeable team. We provide high-quality veterinary medicine and genuinely compassionate care for the pets of Geraldine and the surrounding area, including:
- Wellness checks and preventive care – vaccinations, parasite control, and routine health examinations
- Dental assessment and treatment – professional cleaning and extractions for dogs and cats
- Diagnostic services – in-house laboratory testing, x-ray, and ultrasound
- Surgical procedures – desexing and routine to complex soft tissue surgery
- Prescription nutrition and pet health products – available in clinic, with a reliable product delivery service for those who can’t get in
- Senior and chronic disease management – for pets with ongoing health conditions
Our production animal team in Geraldine works closely with livestock farmers across the Mackenzie Basin, Geraldine district, and surrounding South Canterbury. We focus on preventive, practical advice that helps farmers manage their operations efficiently and sustainably – building long-term partnerships rather than just turning up when something goes wrong.

- Herd and flock health planning – tailored programmes for dairy, beef, sheep, and deer operations
- Cattle reproductive services – pregnancy scanning, AI support, and fertility investigations
- Sheep services – drenching, scanning, facial eczema management, and clostridial vaccination programmes
- Dairy support – mastitis control, dry cow therapy, teat sealing, and production health
- Farm visits and on-farm consultations – across Geraldine, Mackenzie Country, and surrounding districts
- Product delivery service – farm veterinary supplies delivered when you can’t get to the clinic
- After-hours rural emergency cover – calving difficulties, prolapse, acute livestock illness
We’re located in the centre of Geraldine, with convenient parking and easy access. Our clinic stocks a broad range of pet and farm products, and we offer a product delivery service for clients who can’t make it in. Whether you’re local to Geraldine or coming in from further afield in the Mackenzie Country, we’re easy to find and always happy to see you.
